Legal basis
We normally process account, subscription and study information because it is needed to provide the service you requested. We may also process some information for legitimate interests such as security, support, fraud prevention, service improvement and analytics. Where the law requires consent, for example for some cookies or marketing, we ask for it separately.
AI tutor features
AI features are used to explain driving theory, Highway Code rules, hazard perception and practical-driving topics. Messages may be sent to trusted AI service providers so the feature can respond. Please do not enter payment card details, passwords, medical information or other highly sensitive personal information into AI chat.
Who we share information with
We use trusted service providers for hosting, WordPress/LearnDash/MemberPress functionality, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, Android app services and AI features. We do not sell your personal data.
Payments
Payments and subscription records are handled through MemberPress and payment processors. We do not ask you to email card details and we do not store full card numbers in our own WordPress database.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, security, checkout, preferences, analytics and service improvement. You can control cookies in your browser, but some account and checkout features may not work without essential cookies.
How long we keep information
We keep account, subscription, support and study records only for as long as needed for service delivery, legal, tax, security and audit purposes. Some anonymised analytics may be kept longer because it no longer identifies you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights to be informed, access your data, correct it, request erasure, restrict processing, object, data portability and rights relating to automated decision-making. These rights are not always absolute and depend on the circumstances.
Children and learners
Driving learners may be young people. We aim to use clear language and avoid collecting more information than needed. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a learner account, contact us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login details private.
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
